LIFT - Learning Instrumental Foundational Techniques.
LIFT's purpose is to teach student musicians from across the Anchorage School District how to better play their instrument from experts on their instrument. A master classes will be given by ASD music teachers, professional musicians, UAA music majors, UAA professors and Community Musicians on Wednesday evenings at Bettye Davis East High School from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on the following dates:.
Experts on their instruments will work with students of that instrument. Students will work in a group setting and have one-on-on pull out sessions. We want to help students LIFT their musical knowledge and playing ability. 6th graders and students who are new to their instrument need to complete a year of classroom music before attending LIFT.
